STEVEN PECORARO
Steven Pecoraro, a founding partner of the firm, was born in New York City in 1961. He received a B.A. from Queens College of the City University of New York and a J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law. He became admitted to the bar in New York in 1986, and later became admitted in the Federal District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well.
After law school Steven began his trial court experience as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney's Office. He eventually stopped prosecuting criminal cases to pursue a career in personal injury litigation, which he has been successfully doing since the late 1980's.
Steven is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which limits its members to attorneys who have a record of obtaining jury verdicts or settling cases for $1,000,000.00 or more. He is also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York State Bar Association, which are dedicated to preserving justice and fairness in the judicial system.
STEVEN SCHIESEL
Steven Schiesel, a founding partner of the firm, was born in New York City in 1960. He received a B.A., Cum Laude, from Columbia University in New York and a J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law. He is admitted to the bar in New York and Connecticut. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Steven has had tremendous success in litigating personal injury lawsuits as illustrated by his membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which limits its members to Trial Lawyers who have a record of settling cases or obtaining jury verdicts for $1,000,000.00 or more.
Steven is an active sustaining member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, an organization comprised of plaintiff's personal injury attorneys dedicated to preserving justice and fairness in the judicial system for injured individuals. He has completed the intensive advanced trial skills program sponsored by ATLA in conjunction with Harvard Law School. At the conclusion of the program, he was awarded the designation of Advocate by the National College of Trial Advocacy in Washington D.C.
